View EXIF data online

PickSutra provides a browser-based EXIF viewer for inspecting metadata stored inside supported image files. Select an image to see the metadata that is available in the file.

What is EXIF metadata?

EXIF stands for Exchangeable Image File Format. Photos created by digital cameras and smartphones can contain information about how and when an image was captured, as well as information about the camera and lens.

What information can an EXIF viewer show?

Depending on the image and the metadata stored in it, information may include camera make and model, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, capture date and time, image dimensions, software, orientation, and GPS information.

Check GPS and location metadata

Some photos contain GPS coordinates or other location-related metadata. If GPS information is present in the image, the EXIF viewer can display the available GPS fields. This can be important when reviewing images before sharing them publicly.

View camera and photo information

EXIF data can help you understand how a photo was captured. Camera and lens information, exposure settings, timestamps, dimensions, and other available fields can provide additional information about the original image.

Browser-based image metadata viewer

PickSutra processes the selected image in your browser for this metadata viewer. Your image is not uploaded by the EXIF viewer, which makes it convenient for checking metadata before sharing a photo online.

Why check image metadata?

Reviewing metadata can help photographers inspect camera settings, developers troubleshoot image information, and anyone sharing photos identify whether a file contains information such as location or capture details.
